Bebo nutzt die Facebook-Plattform
Ich habe Mitte Juli folgendes prophezeit:
Facebooks FBML/FQL wird der Standard für Social Networks werden und auf dieser Basis werden wir immer mehr Applikationen sehen.
Martin Recke hat dann nach dem Start von OpenSocial Zweifel an der Facebook-Plattform angebracht. Bebo hat nun heute angekündigt, dass künftig die proprietäre Lösung von Facebook eingesetzt wird, laut Techcrunch:
Bebo’s platform is up-to-speed with Facebook’s platform as it was six weeks ago, so it does not yet mirror Facebook’s platform perfectly (and Bebo will need to continually work on it in an effort to keep matching Facebook). However, Bebo says that even applications written in FQL and FBML themselves, instead of the adapted SNQL and SNML, should be able work on Bebo. We’ll just have to see how well this emulation works.
Zum Start sind nur handverlesene Developer eingeladen, aber bald soll die Bebo-Plattform für alle geöffnet werden. Aufgrund der Größe von Bebo kann man durchaus davon sprechen, dass die Facebook-Plattform in der Tat so eine Art Standard für Social Networks zu werden scheint.
